What is the Illuminize® Peel?

The SkinMedica® Illuminize® Peel is a light, superficial chemical peel designed for brightening and texture improvement with little to no visible peeling or downtime. It is the gentlest option in SkinMedica®’s professional peel line — making it an excellent entry point for patients new to chemical peels or those seeking a subtle refresh.

How it works

The Illuminize® Peel uses a carefully formulated blend of acids and active ingredients to gently exfoliate the outermost layers of skin and stimulate cell turnover:

• Mandelic acid and malic acid (alpha-hydroxy acids) for gentle surface exfoliation
• Salicylic acid (beta-hydroxy acid) for pore-clearing and oil regulation
• Phytic acid for brightening and reducing pigmentation
• Panthenol (vitamin B5) for hydration and soothing

The treatment is applied in a two-step process: a prepping solution followed by the peeling solution. The combination works to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin beneath.
