What is the Fire & Ice Facial?
The iS Clinical® Fire & Ice Facial is a two-phase professional resurfacing treatment that bridges the gap between a mild facial and an invasive peel. Known in the industry as the “Red Carpet Facial,” it delivers immediate, visible results with zero downtime — making it a go-to treatment before events or as part of an ongoing skin health regimen.
The treatment was named “Celebrity Facial of the Year” by InStyle and has become one of the most recognized clinical facials in aesthetic medicine.
How it works
The Fire & Ice Facial uses two complementary masques in sequence:
Phase 1: “Fire” — Intensive Resurfacing Masque
An active masque applied for 3–5 minutes that creates a warming, tingling sensation as it exfoliates and resurfaces. Key active ingredients include:
- 18% glycolic acid (sugarcane-derived) for deep chemical exfoliation
- Retinol (vitamin A) to accelerate cell turnover
- Niacinamide (vitamin B3) for skin barrier support
- Green tea extract for antioxidant protection and anti-inflammatory benefits
This phase dissolves dead skin cells, clears pores, and stimulates cellular renewal.
Phase 2: “Ice” — Rejuvenating Masque
A cooling, hydrating masque that soothes and restores the skin after the resurfacing phase:
- Hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and plumping
- Aloe vera for anti-inflammatory healing and comfort
This phase calms the skin, locks in moisture, and delivers the immediate glow that the treatment is known for.
What does it treat?
- Dull, tired-looking skin
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Fine lines and early signs of aging
- Enlarged pores and congestion
- Mild acne and post-inflammatory discoloration
- Pre-event preparation for radiant, camera-ready skin
What to expect
A Fire & Ice session takes approximately 45 minutes. You may feel warmth and tingling during the “Fire” phase — this is normal and subsides quickly once the masque is removed.
Results are visible immediately after treatment: smoother texture, brighter tone, and a noticeable glow. There is no peeling, redness, or downtime. You can apply makeup and return to normal activities right away.
For sustained results, a series of treatments every 4 weeks is recommended. The treatment is safe for all skin types and uses a formulation that is 95–98% plant-based. At Zvia Weight Loss & MedSpa in Lakewood, Colorado, your provider tailors each session to your skin’s specific needs, serving clients throughout the Denver metro area.
